For organization notifications I believe they need to be saved to the notifications or ringtone folders in your internal memory, otherwise simply apps with ringtone settings will be able to see those.

Ever figure information technology out...? It is foreign that the Ringtone list has an option at the bottom that says "+ Add from phone" and when selecting information technology I can add a file from a selection of places, Merely that selection is non on the listing for the Notifications.

Some other stupid thing is that once I selected to choose my Ringtone file from the Verizon Cloud, it no longer gives me an option to select a file from off of my telephone! SMH

Having notifications in Notifications, alarms in Alarms, ringtones in Ringtones (case counts in all of them) has been standard since Android. (But making some other Notifications folder somewhere should too notwithstanding piece of work. Yous can make a Zedge folder, then iii folders inside that, and save the advisable files to the appropriate folders. I used to have them all in an mp3 folder that was in a Music folder.)

On my S6 or any of Android version it was then, you could do any music file on your phone where ever information technology was. The fact that yous need ones you want as ring tones in a ring tone folder. And ones you want for notifications in another folder seems stupid. I thought information technology was going away, but it seems similar it'south back probably considering iPhone people dear it so we impaired downwardly Android to match iPhone smh lol
